One Ilocos Sur!

Numerous events took place during the Ilocos Sur Festival and celebration. Parades, trade shows, night markets, and other celebrations were conducted in honor of this festival. The "Kannawidan Festival" is among the most well-known events in Ilocos Sur, second only to the "Viva Vigan Binatbatan Festival of the Arts". The celebration lasts for a week, with events taking place from the final days of January to the first week of February.

Parades and Street Dancing: One of the festival's highlights is the outrageous street dancing competition, where contestants dance traditional dances through Vigan City's streets while wearing bright costumes. During these performances, audience members can take in the vibrant music, sophisticated choreography, and beautiful costumes.

Furthermore, at the Tawid ken Kultura (Heritage and Culture) Trade Fair, the provincial government of Ilocos Sur showcased the One Town-One Product (OTOP) of each of its 31 towns and two cities. As part of the 2024 Ilocos Sur Festival, the trade fair was formally launched on Monday, January 29, at the Govantes Dike in this city. One of the highlights of the Ilocos Sur Festival 2024 this year was the first Illumina Fest, which drew a large crowd to Quirino Stadium.
